Mortice and Tenon Door With 9 Windows (glazing not supplied)
This door is a fully framed mortice and tenon exterior door.
Stiles are 42mm thick and frame is constructed with mortice and tenon joints. We can dowel through the tenons if added strength is required. This is one of the strongest forms of construction making this a very durable and long lasting door. We leave the stiles long for despatch, this protects the door in transit and they can be cut off to size on site.
Designed to take one pane of glass, number of windows and size of windows can be altered.
Comes unfinished as standard but an exterior oil or lacquer can be applied for an extra £100 plus VAT.
A weatherboard is an optional extra.

Every door would not necessarily have 4 middle boards, this is determined at point of manufacture and is decided by us based on size of the door and timber available at the time, we can do specific a specific number of boards but it would need to be specified at point of order, there is no extra charge for this service.
Stiles are made from solid 42mm thick kiln dried oak as are the top and bottom rails. Door boards are 21mm thick and are tongue and groove and slot together. Middle rail is also 21mm thick and only visible from the back. The boards have a v groove applied as standard but can square edged or butt & bead if preferred for no extra charge.
Everything is made on site in our factory in Lincolnshire to order so WE SPECIALIZE IN CUSTOM SIZES, just message with the size and number of doors etc you require and ask for a quote and we can create a listing for you. We can also adhere to any other specifications you might have.
Prime - Minimal knots and colour variation - Tolerance on each face of two intergrown sound knots of 12mm maximum diameter, or this equivalent per linear metre. Slope of grain: almost straight. Not acceptable: sapwood, heart spiral and curly grain deterioration, cross grain, bark pocket, bore holes, warping. Surface checks tolerated.
Character- Colour variation and knots - Presence on each face of small knots without limitation, and of a maximum of three sound knots per metre, maximum diameter not to exceed one half of the width of the timber or 40mm or equivalent.
All of our oak is European and is Kiln Dried unless otherwise stated or requested.

As pictured we leave the stiles long for despatch, this protects the door in transit and they can be cut off to size on site. The glazing panels are made as 2 sub frames, so it would require 1 pane of glass and the sub frame would sit on the top creating the appearance of multiple small windows, this is a stronger and more durable way of constructing the glazing beads. These doors are handmade in our factory in Lincolnshire, therefore we are able to make any custom size you require and can have any number of glazed panels at any size. Can be any number of panels and at any size, please just ask for more information. As standard doors would be Character Grade Oak - Will have some small knots and colour variation, a more rustic and traditional look and is the standard grade of oak. Although we do also offer Prime Grade oak for an extra £30.79 per door, if you would like doors in prime grade let us know and we will create a listing for you.
